Hi everyone,
Have you ever looked and determined what influences in life have shaped your decisions and why?
Today I will share my scenario in hopes you can use it to contemplate your own scenario
But first, I want to start by including a quick update on my Facebook lead ad and how it applies.
My FB lead ad continues to gain anywhere from 1-3 leads per day. Yes, there have been some 0 lead days ๐ but overall, it’s quite consistent.
Like investment practices, it’s good to have a long-term mentality. There’s going to be ups and downs, and we continue making adjustments when we have understanding of something that can improve.
It’s important not to focus on instant high growth only or make rash decisions when numbers aren’t high right away.ย
I guess I’m learning that with everything I’m finding in life, it’s best to not make decisions based on fear or wanting to increase fast and easy for whatever reason.
Making solid decisions
I’ve made many bad decisions in the past because of the situation I was in.
I allowed my situation to generate enough fear and frustration that it led to making bad decisions to get ahead or out of the immediate pain.
It’s happened before. I was out of work and decided to take a job that I shouldn’t have taken. Ended up being a worse situation than before.ย
I got some immediate money but then lots of unnecessary stress and multiple injuries.
Another example is when I started trying online business models many years ago.ย
At one point not making much income, made some bad decisions to try and increase the income faster. Ended with a lot of debt.
What’s different now?
I’m currently in a similar situation, building a new business at 51 years old. It’s been my only option; to create the work I can do and accommodate my health issues.ย
It’s been very challenging, to say the least.ย
I’m sure you’ve had similar issues or are currently facing something as well. I’m saying, you know how it feels, fears, anxieties, the unknowns, bills, groceries, and mortgage to pay, not so fun!
My business isn’t in a place of generating income yet. I don’t have another job, I had to resign months ago due to health. I had some sick benefits/employment insurance helping in a small way but that’s ended.ย
Please understand I’m not sharing this for sympathy or because I’m feeling sorry for myself. I’m painting a picture of how real it is right now for fears, anxieties, the unknowns, bills, groceries, and a mortgage to pay.
This easily can cause a person to make uncalculated and bad decisions to avoid the stress it causes.
We’ve been living off some savings and being as diligent with our finances as we can. I’m doing daily business and daily job search.ย
All this to say, I’ve. Considered some bad decisions.
There’s a lot of work I’ve done but cannot do now because of health issues. Hard labour mostly but have considered applying anyway to get money in sooner.
The issue is I have 2 back injuries. I’ve been out of commission the last couple weeks almost, haven’t been able to even now my lawn. But still considered hard labour.
WHY?
It goes back to feeling fear and anxiety because of the situation.ย
If we let it lead us to make decisions that will make life worse, because we want a breakthrough sooner, this can keep us from real breakthrough permanently.
I’ve been challenged to give in and possibly ruin the rest of my health to feel more secure financially now.
But haven’t given in because I’m functioning with more wisdom and experience from the past rather than out of fear.
No matter the decision that’s made there is still going to be pain, stress, and more experienced.ย
The question is do we decide on the pain that holds us back or the pain that leads us to our goal?
Do I give in to hard labour and possibly ruin whatโs left of my back, or experience living off some savings a little longer on a tight budget?ย
Some might fear depleting so much savings but in reality money can be remade.
In my situation, do I work and risk further back injury that cannot be fixed, or do I use up some more savings, which in time will not only be remade but much more will be made when this business takes off?
I believe in this business that much!
It’s not a matter of if this is going to work, it’s a matter of when it’s going to work out!
So how did we get from Facebook lead ads to this point?
My mentor taught me, that the way you do one thing is the way you do all things.
If I’m going to allow fear and pain to influence me in a negative way in life, I’m going to allow it in business as well.ย
I’ve decided to continue learning to have the fear and pain push me in the positive direction, towards my end goals.
I mean if we’re going to experience fear and pain anyway why not guide it in the direction of reaching your dream life?

Hi Denny, fear and anxiety are not good advisors. When in panic, having a rational thinking is difficult. Me also when I think of my debts and how I juggle with groceries, mortgage, credits, and loans, I become very stressed, almost I panic. This also makes me do things that I shouldn’t and taking bad decisions impulsively. It is a reaction we need to control for the time we work at growing our business. We are in now in a good path, have the support of a community, and we will succeed.

Wow, Denny, this was so well said. I’m so sorry you are struggling during this time; your mindset is in the right place, and that is what will carry you through. I think fear can lead to devastation if you let it, or it will push you harder to work towards a goal like affiliate marketing. You can only live one day at a time, so do what you can do each day to push forward, and the rest will come. You will come through this very soon. And I can’t wait to see you flourish in your business.
Hi Vanessa,
