Hey everyone,
It feels good to write again š I missed last weeks post for a variety of reasonāsā¦ I donāt like to miss writing blogs!
So, what was going on that could possibly cause me to miss a post that’s simply about 1000 words of writing?
Would you believe it if I told you it was because I was suddenly so confused, I needed to pause and think for a few days?
Usually, when I complete training to grow in my profession, I tend to come out enlightened, with more direction, tools and resources.
If you read my last post youāll notice I was quite enlightened after previous training session and excited I had gained a clear picture of my dream life. You can read about it here.
This time around it wasnāt so. They say itās a roller-coaster building a business š
This time around I completed training to help select a niche market for business that may be more related to what I love, enjoy or have past experience in. Iāve done some similar training in the past and had issues narrowing down options.
What was so difficult?
The process involves making a list of everything we are interested in and have experience doing.
Then asking ourselves, ā which of these things would I wake up energized and excited to do every dayā.
With the reduced list we then take to social media and research those niches to make sure there is a market, interest in it, interaction.
For some reason I was expecting a different niche to reveal itself, as Iāve noticed some of my peers, gaining insight into some really interesting niches.
What was difficult and confusing for me was that it wasnāt happening for me in that way.
I donāt know how to express how I felt but to say I felt āon holdāā¦ until I could figure it out!
The good thing was I didnāt stay āon holdā for too long.
What was happening?
Sometimes when thereās difficulty and confusion it can be a sign weāre in the wrong place or doing the wrong thing.
Sometimes when thereās difficulty and confusion it can be a sign weāre in the right place or doing the right thing.
For me, the latter was my experience. It turns out Iāve determined that my niche has not changed and continues to be in targeting people like me.
- Between 40 ā 65+ years of age.
- May have health issues making it hard to work the 9-5 without over-taking days off.
- Needs to work from home and needs to be self employed to set own schedule
- Basically, needing to restart and recreate one-self in an online business
- Building both a healthy business and healthy lifestyle.
- Building a business in a healthy manner
- Affiliate marketing for beginners
How do I do this?
Iām already doing it! Documenting my journey as I build my business and maintain or improve my health.
Sharing all my experiences both positive and negative, wins and losses, good experiences and bad ones.
Continuing to share updates through my blog and social media outlets in order to update anyone who has been following my progress.
I donāt have any fancy gimmicks or unique approaches thatās going to suddenly go viral.
Just me revealing how someone ordinary is working towards being extraordinary and reaching his dream life!
Letās not forget the most important partā¦ to continue getting the right training and mentoring throughout the entire process.
The mentoring should never endā¦ when mentoring ends then the real growth ends and potentially the dream ends as well!
Whatās my hope?
My hope, as I work through this, is that you, the reader, learn from my journey and learn from my experience as you follow my journey.
Very few bloggers out there take time to share about the struggles they face, mental and emotional obstacles faced in the process, pushing through even while health gets complicated.
I take it upon myself to be an open book and write about all these things as I experience them while building my business.
In addition, I share the skills I learn and build and the technical know-how as I learn and work through them myself.
The reason I am so blessed with the mentor I have is because he doesnāt hold back. He shares openly as well and is so transparent and honest. This is the model I use in building this biz!
So, if youāre interested in starting an online affiliate marketing business and have been on the fence looking for help, or youāve started and now stuck. Stick around and stay connected here.
Ask for some help, ask some questions and I will do my best to help you. You can do so in the comments below or if you are not comfortable asking in the comments do so through my email. Simply reply to any of the recent emails I sent you and it will come directly to me, or my contact page on this site.
Before signing off I have another update more on the technical side of thingsā¦ š
Hello Facebook Lead Adsā¦Itās been a While!
If you read my post back in early July, I had shared how Facebook suspended my account and access to using my ads to generate leads. They wrongfully labelled one of my posts as sexual exploitation, when it was an image of a tigerās eye, and encouraging to āstay focusedā.
After 3 appeals there was never a result or any in-person assistance to help me. So, I endured the suspension time which just ended August 5th, when I regained access to Facebook ads!
Since then, I stopped the previous ad and created a new lead ad with a new image in order to generate more leads and get more interested people to click and get my free resource.
Some of you reading this post have interacted with my first Facebook ad and already received the free PDF called Avoiding the Pitfalls. I hope youāve had some time to read through it and if you have any questions, please let me know.
Before all this FB suspension nonsense happened, I had my ad reviewed along with the stats by one of my coaches. It was suggested that I should try a new image to encourage more interaction. Possibly use an image with a person in it.
Thatās the changes I made this week as Facebook prevented my access to ads during the suspension time.
I published the ad yesterday evening and it was approved a couple hours later. Now itās a waiting game and tracking to gauge progress.
After a few weeks I will review the numbers and submit it to my coach for further review. This will determine if I should change or alter the text/copy.
Hoping for great results! Itās a work in progress and only gets better when tracking and adjusting the ad for the best results.
Thereās been a lot of information shared here in this post that may generate some thoughts and questions in you. Please take a moment and let me know what you think and any questions you may have.
Remember, if you donāt feel comfortable asking questions openly please take a moment and email me by replying to an email Iāve sent or by going to my contact page and sending a message there. Either way it will reach me personally.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks for your comment and feedback!
I’m so happy you enjoyed the post and hope you continue coming back to enjoy future posts as I provide updates š
Hi Denny – I’m glad to see you back and sometimes a pause is just what we need to get back on track. Everyone needs a rest from time to time and it sounds like you found the perfect opportunity to temporarily suspend your blog but I’m glad to see your back at it. Their blog posts are very valuable and this one is no exception. So sorry to hear about your Facebook lead ad issue several months ago and I’m glad that you have decided to persist and give it another go. We are very fortunate to have great mentors and coaches to help guide us and to give us feedback and how we can succeed. Best wishes my friend and have a wonderful week!
Hi Ernie,
Thanks so much for you comment and feedback!
I find sometimes when a pause is needed, life has a way of making it happen if we don’t do it for ourselves.
Facebook was what it was and I have to just accept it happened for a reason and learn from it. The new ad is doing okay š
We do have some great mentors! Thanks again and all the best in your journey as well!
Denny
Yay for getting your new Facebook up and running!! I look forward to hearing about your success! I ran into a glitch getting mine up there so will wait and have it reviewed by Sophie. Your points about coaching and coaches is right on. I would have quit if not for them!!
HI Kate,
Thank you for your comment and feedback!
The FB ad is running decent at this time but hopefully gets better.
I hope you figure out your FB lead ad, but I know if anyone could help it would be Sophie.
Thanks again!
Denny
Hi, Denny! I’m so glad you’ve found you’ve already happily found your niche! Congratulations!
I think you are in the right niche because you always share the ups and downs of what you’re going through in setting up your business, and that’s exactly what we, new affiliate marketers, need. I like the community you foster. Rather than sharing just the high points, you also share the lows and let us know if we can avoid them. I appreciate that! Most of all, I’m encouraged by your progress! It encourages me each week to keep going myself š
Nakina
Hi Nakina,
Thanks so much for your comment and feedback!
I appreciate your encouragement and reassurance regarding my choice in niche š
I’m so happy that you find encouragement in reading my posts and following my journey!
I hope I continue to encourage you and others moving forward!
Denny
Hey Denny, thanks for sharing your journey so openly! I completely relate to the challenge of narrowing down a niche, especially when it seems like everyone else is finding their perfect fit with ease. A reminder to not compare yourself with others, and you don’t really know how much they have struggled to get there – lol. Even experienced marketers face this kind of struggle. Your focus on a specific age group and their unique needs is a great strategy, and I love how youāre documenting every step of your process. Iām curious, have you found any particular strategies or tools that have helped you stay motivated and clear about your niche during these confusing times? What roadblocks or barriers are you facing with picking a niche, is it too many options or not enough passion for one particular area? Looking forward to hearing more about your progress and any new insights you uncover. I am happy to be a sounding board. If you need any help, just reach out!
Hi Alison,
Thanks for you comment and I appreciate you can relate to niche challenges.
I still sometimes fall into the trap of seeing others and comparing to myself.
The only thing that keeps me motivated and clear about my niche at this point is that my niche is me…people like me.
I know what I experience, the good the challenges, and where I want to be and how bad I want it.
In terms of picking a niche other than that, when I make my list there is nothing that compels me to want to get up every morning and do it.
What gets me up every morning is to give my wife the life she deserves. It’s one of my biggest “why’s”.
Hope to update soon!
Denny
I am so glad that you have sorted your niche. I was of the same opinion and came to the conclusion that I’m quite happy where I am with beginner’s affiliate marketing. I can’t believe FB suspended your ad for such a meaningless reason. Great news that you have risen from the ashes like the phoenix and have reinvented your ad. Fingers crossed it will perform well for you.
Hi Andy,
Thanks for your comment! So glad to hear from someone of similar niche interest!
I still don’t know why all that Facebook nonsense happened but I take it as it happened for a reason.
Although I don’t know the reason now, maybe I will understand it later.
I appreciate your encouragement and wish you all the best in your journey!
Denny
Hi Denny,
I feel your pain about those suspensions. I’ve received many of them in the past, and I’m sure many people have experienced the same issue.
I was listening to module 7 in the Beginners Advantage, where Dean discusses why platforms are more friendly to users (the general public who use the platform for free) and less friendly to advertisers like us who pay for ads.
After listening to the module, it makes more sense now why those platforms are very sensitive and accounts get suspended for little to no good reason.
I’m glad you’re still persistent despite the suspension!
Alberto recently posted…Documenting July 2024
Hi Alberto,
Thanks for your comment! I read about issues you’ve had with suspensions from social media.
I only had issues with one and it was challenging. I appreciate the advice and will check out the teaching you mentioned!
Thanks again and hope you have more success with ads moving forward!
Denny
Great post Denny! Your voice throughout your post sounds very excited! I’m glad you worked your way through your quandary and moving forward with a new sense of clarity! Congrats on getting your FB ad approval, it can be such a challenge sometimes. Here’s to your new sense of purpose and success!
Hi Ken,

I appreciate your feedback and encouragement!
It’s all a process and we’re all going to deal with it the best we can š
Wish you success as you move forward in your journey!
