Hey friends!
Itās the end of another week and the beginning of the Canada Day long weekend!Ā š
For this week I want to continue updating you on my Facebook lead adā¦ kind of a roller-coaster ride going on š but first if you havenāt read my last post, please have a read here. It has previous Facebook ad details and I share a key to building an online business.
Facebook Lead Ad Update š²
I worked on creating 4 new lead ad images with some slogan text on it and had created 7 different slogans. I sent this into our daily mentoring session we have access to so it can be reviewed before I use them in an ad.
Today I watched that recording and I couldnāt believe my question/review was the only one. My mentor was able to share about 25 minutes of advice with meā¦ what a blessing and so valuable! š
Iām not going to lie, it was quite challenging to watch and the advice wasnāt what I expected.
Long story shortā¦ although I took so much time and did so much work on this, I didnāt do it right.
The images were too busy for a Facebook lead ad and the 7 slogans I worked on were not the best option because they came across like what a sales page would have not a lead ad.
I felt somewhat deflated because of all the effort I put in, but I also felt so blessed to have mentors that are honest with me no matter how hard it may be. I would rather feel some pain through unexpected feedback than the pain of using a wrong image and text, then losing money because it didnāt get results.
So, I had to change my schedule today and focus most of the day working on new ad drafts and slogans, which I will submit for a review on Monday.
How did it go? š¤·
I hustled today and worked my but off to create another 4 images and just one slogan which I believe, according to the feedback, is potentially close to what it needs to be.
Of course, I am open to as much feedback as required to get my lead ad right!
It set me back some time and Iām writing this blog at the end of the day instead of the beginning as I usually do.
This does bring up a lesson I wasnāt even planning on writing about until I had this experience this morning.
Lesson Learned
As I mentioned above, this was a very challenging situation for me. I was a little deflated! I remember almost immediately after watching the mentor feedback I started to feel like a failure again. š¤¦
The difference was, this time I got rid of the crap thought and feeling right away and told myself, āIt could have been worse, I could have used a bad ad and lost money not getting resultsā.
I started to focus my thoughts on the blessing it was to go through what I did and get the feedback I got.
This brings me to the lessonā¦
In life thereās a good pain and a bad pain!
If you exercise you may experience pain, if you donāt you will experience a different pain, health issues.
The same principle applies here. You can experience the pain of doing the work and having to redo it to get it right. You can also experience a more negative pain of continuing to do it wrong, not getting help and not moving forward successfully!
I know Iām not the only one that understands this. Understanding it is not everything, we also must implement this, act on it and defeat those negative thoughts that will come.
Thatās it thatās all for todayā¦ As I adjusted my day this is all the time I have to write. Although itās a short post I hope it was in some way empowering and thought provoking!
I’d really like to hear your thoughts and feedback on my post! Howās your progress going in reaching your online business success? I would love to hear about it, come and chat with me!
I look forward to hearing from you!

Denny, your roller coaster analogy had me nodding in agreement. Nothing like the twists and turns of Facebook ad creation to make you feel like you’ve gone from the kiddie TRAIN to the heart-stopping mega coaster in seconds. I love the way you handled the feedbackālike a pro, not like someone who just lost their lunch on the ride! This is a great reminder that sometimes the loops and drops are where we learn the most. Keep those updates coming.
Hi Tony,
I love reading your comments!
So glad you can relate, it sounds like you’ve experienced the same feelings on your own journey š
I always appreciate your encouragement and excited that you look forward to my updates!
Cheers š

Thanks for sharing your journey, Denny! Your transparency about the ups and downs of creating effective Facebook lead ads is both insightful and encouraging. It’s fantastic to see how you’re turning constructive feedback into a valuable learning experience. The concept of “good pain” versus “bad pain” is so important, not only in business but in all aspects of life.
Your resilience and willingness to iterate on your work are truly commendable. I’m sure your new ad drafts and slogans will be much stronger thanks to the thorough feedback you received. It’s also a great reminder that seeking and accepting constructive criticism is a crucial part of growth.
For anyone else going through similar challenges, I’d recommend documenting the feedback you receive and revisiting it periodicallyāsometimes, insights become clearer with time and continued experience. Looking forward to hearing how your new ads perform! Keep up the great work!

Wow, what a week you’ve had! It’s great to hear about your journey with the Facebook lead ad, even with the ups and downs. Your dedication and openness to feedback are truly inspiring. šŖ
Thanks for sharing your lesson about good pain vs. bad pain. It’s such a valuable reminder to embrace constructive criticism and see it as a stepping stone rather than a setback. Keep pushing forward, and enjoy the Canada Day long weekend!
Looking forward to hearing more about your progress.
Hi Sarah,
I appreciate your comment and feedback!
Yes, I agree constructive criticism is a stepping stone. In past I had moments of seeing it as a setback, however I learned it was because I had my own insecurities and poor self image. Hope to see you back soon!
Denny
Wow, itās great to have someone to guide you through the process to success. Proud of you, keep going and you will achieve success.
Hi Michelle
Thank you for commenting!
It couldn’t happen without the right guidance š
Thanks for your encouragement!

Denny, most people think there can only be either good or bad and should strive to always be positive. This is a misconception because both exist at the same time, its just up to us how we react to the situation. Sounds like you have figured this out and have taken the advice positively. Keep up the good work and remember Edison showed us how to not make a light bulb 999 times.
Hi Ken,
Thanks for commenting!
You’re right, it is up to us to choose our reaction. That’s one of our super powers!
However, I’ve found in the past that when I had a poor self image it was much harder to make the best choice.
Edison is a great reminder!
Cheers,
Denny
Hi Denny, Thank you for sharing your experiences as you navigate the complexities of creating effective Facebook lead ads.
Itās good to see someone so open about the ups and downs of their journey. The analogy of a roller-coaster ride perfectly captures the challenges, the ups and downs, and the unexpected turns that come with building an online business.
Itās a reminder that progress isnāt always linear, and setbacks are part of the process.
Your experience with the mentoring session and the importance of receiving constructive criticism reminds us to focus on the value of honest advice rather than our expectations and accept that through that process we grow!!
Itās a testament to your resilience and dedication to improving your strategies.
Thank you for sharing and inspiring us all to keep pushing forward, even when the road gets tough.
Hi Eleanor,
I’m so glad you enjoyed the post and thank you for your comment and feedback!
We see eye-to-eye on the roller coaster that is business and even life.
Interpreting feedback the right way is so key. Even if it’s not constructive and meant to hurt I think it’s worth considering if there is any truth or value to take away from it. Hope to have you back again as your comments are very valuable š
Denny
I am so glad you shared that experience with us, well me, actually. I am still teetering on the edge of delving into FB lead ads and this post has been a real eye-opener. I had a look at Sophie’s feedback in the Ask Anything video and can relate exactly to what you were saying. There are some absolutely priceless lessons to be learned and you’ve given me so much more of a clue as to what to look for in creating an ad. I thank you!
Hi Andy,
I’m so glad you found this post helpful and you learned something to help you in creating your own ad!
I appreciate your feedback. Our mentors give so much value!!
Look forward to you coming back again š

Hi Denny,
One week later – yup, Canada day week-end turned into a long week-end of grievances that got me slipping away from what I needed to do!
Anyways, back on the saddle and getting things done. Great info about ads; not my cup of tea at this time but hey, any information is useful information!
Thanks for sharing it with you & looking forward to the next blog on how its turning out!
Hi Marc,
Thanks for your comment! Sorry to hear you had a tough long weekend but so glad you’re back in the saddle!
FB ads is not for everyone and doesn’t have to be š Keep working on what works for you!
Cheers and hope to see you back!
